  4. whilst updating a catalogue text and whilst trying to balance a grand

  6. putting in unusual requests etc. (it's a hard life running a PD library
  7. but some poor sod has to do it!) I finally got this catalogue together!

  15. Hmm, yes well lets hope they do a better job than the previous two! The new
  16. owners of the Amiga, look set to have a sting in their tail for the PC &
  17. console freaks this christmass. The new amigas will 64 BIT PowerPC and
  18. 68060 based, with an all singing all danceing WORKBENCH 4.

  22. Ted yates was slagging of microsoft recently and he thinks that microsofts
  23. WIN 95 is a complete mess of an operating system. Quite frankly I'd have to
  24. aggree whth him! PC users spend about 30% of their time messing with the
  25. very memory hungry, processor intensive, and bug filled Opreating System.
  26. But the other problem with the PC, is that you have to continually exand to
  27. run the software/games, this makes owning a PC, a bloody expensive
  28. passtime! The fact that users have to upgrade so ferquently is a shure
  29. sighn that, the "off the shelf" technology, that the PC is based around is
  30. perhaps not quite as advanced as perhaps some people makeout!

  40. 2. Stocking and publication of CDROM's! A 17 BIT  "LEVEL 6 CDROM" is in the
  41.    process of publication. 17 BIT LEVEL 6 will include all the didsks that
  42.    have been added to the library scince 3870, wich continues on from the
  43.    previous 17 bit 5th dimension CD! All disks will de in DMS format,
  44.    and will be acessable from a front end custom coded menu! We plan to
  45.    include some of the bigger packages on there in ready to run fromat!

  64. £8.99! The CD was compiled by Quartz Public Domain and published by Weird
  65. Science LTD. It's a real corker of a Utilities disk, it got a 92% review in
  66. CU Amiga! There is every utility you ever wanted on this one! No Lemmings
  67. on here, you have to admit though, it caught your attention didn't it!

  72. PLEASE TAKE NOTE BECAUSE YOUR PHONE CALLS DRIVE US POTTY! If a listed title
  73. has more than one number, or has brackets with letters in it after the
  74. title, i.e, 2876(ABC) then it means that particular title is on is on more
  75. than one disk, i.e, a title with 2 or more numbers or letters after it, is
  76. on 2 or more disks and costs the price of 2 or more disks etc. Codes
  77. in front of a disk number tell you what machine they run on:
  78. + = A500+/A600/A1200; Anything with an X at the start is AGA only. The
  79. software on some utility disks may require a knowledge of AmigaDOS/Shell,
  80. and some require a knowledge of programming etc.

  82. After disk "2700" we dropped A500 compatibility, although some may still
  83. work on the A500 after this we don't test them nowadays.

  85. You can use the scroll gadgets to quickly skip through the text, you can
  86. also use the search facility from the pull down menus so you don't have to
  87. read several thousand lines of my quality crap reviews! Have fun reading!

  370. On the one side one could think that there are enough programs for creating 
  371. fractalson the Amiga. But if you are looking at other platforms e.g. IBM PC 
  372. with FractInt from the Stone Soap Group, then everybody is realizing 
  373. quickly that the programs on the Amiga aren't as powerful as they seem in 
  374. the first way: None of them is able to create as many different fractal 
  375. types as FractInt and none of them allows changing as many parameters as 
  376. FractInt. Well, FractInt surely isn't perfect, but it's good enough for a 
  377. few ideas... If you have a look at this program, then you will notice, that 
  378. ChaosPro is quite powerful and "huge". Constantly the users of ChaosPro 
  379. have wondered themselves, why ChaosPro is Public Domain. Many other,
  380. much smaller, much buggier, less powerful programs are Shareware. Chaos Pro 
  381. on the other hand is just totally awesome!
